The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a GMP-focused Delivery Technologist to join the team based in Macclesfield, UK. In this role, you will support all aspects of the GMP warehouse, shipping, and sample dispatch service operations.
This is a full-time, permanent position at our customer’s site in Macclesfield (SK10 2NA). We offer an attractive salary, pension scheme, private medical and dental care, and an additional day off for your birthday.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 16:00
The team: You will be part of a team of five associates across two business areas: receiving samples from scientists and sending them worldwide. It is a close-knit, diverse, and supportive team that values positive challenges.
You will join the Lab and Production Services department, supporting pharmaceutical companies and laboratories globally in Life Sciences R&D.
What we’re looking for:
* GCSE or equivalent secondary school qualification
* At least 1 year experience in material handling, inventory, customer service, or logistics
* Understanding of shipping, inventory, or purchasing processes
* Spill containment, IATA, DOT, IMDG, OSHA Right to Know training desirable
* Strong focus on safety, quality, and adherence to protocols
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Provide excellent customer service and engage with the scientific community
