Join to apply for the Urgent Care Driver role at BrisDoc Healthcare Services.
To primarily transport clinicians to patients' homes to provide medical assistance. The post holder will also be responsible for vehicle maintenance during each shift. Drivers must always perform duties safely and legally, ensuring vehicles are maintained and driven within current regulations, mainly the Road Traffic Act and Highway Code.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the vehicle has adequate fuel for the shift and refuelling if necessary using the company fuel card.
2. Safely loading and unloading medical equipment and supplies, adhering to manual handling guidelines.
3. Completing the driver’s checklist at the start of each shift to ensure all equipment and supplies are available and functional.
4. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting faults immediately to the Shift Manager, completing fault notification sheets.
5. Driving clinicians to patients’ homes safely, following all traffic laws and speed limits, noting that this is not an emergency service.
6. Accurately recording all visit details and returning driver log sheets at the end of each shift.
7. Driving deliveries of supplies, prescriptions, or medication between sites as requested by the Shift Manager.
