About the Opportunity
We're an established professional services recruitment agency with a strong presence across the North West, and we're ready to expand. Having built successful HR, Payroll, and Accounting & Finance divisions, we're now looking for an exceptional Executive Search Consultant to launch and lead our new Executive Search practice.
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up within a mature, stable business that understands recruitment—without the pressure of arbitrary KPIs.
The Role
You'll be establishing our Executive Search division, focusing exclusively on C-Suite and senior leadership appointments. This is full 360 recruitment at the highest level: from business development and client relationship management through to talent mapping, executive sourcing, and delivery.
Your expertise in consultative, retained search will be crucial as you educate clients on the value of the retained model over contingent solutions, positioning our service as the strategic partner for their most critical hires.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for our Executive Search division
2. Build and manage relationships with decision-makers seeking C-Suite talent
3. Conduct sophisticated talent mapping exercises to identify hard-to-find senior executives
4. Lead complex search assignments from brief through to placement
5. Articulate the commercial and strategic benefits of retained search methodology
6. Manage the entire search process including stakeholder management, assessment, and negotiation
What We're Looking For
Essential:
7. Proven experience in executive search or senior-level recruitment
8. Demonstrable success in winning and delivering retained search mandates
9. Strong track record of engaging with C-Suite clients and candidates
10. Ability to articulate the value proposition of retained search vs. contingent recruitment
11. Exceptional relationship-building and consultative selling skills
12. Full 360 recruitment experience at executive level
Desirable:
13. Established network within the professional services sector
14. Experience building or scaling a search function
15. Track record of talent mapping and executive market intelligence
