An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing, entrepreneurial, business in Derby.
What we are looking for:
As our brand, network and platform expands, we are looking for an energetic and drivenBusiness Development Executiveto support and accelerate the growth of our media sales department.
This is an exciting role suitable for someone already working in sales, and who is looking for a new opportunity in a B2B environment.
The successful candidate will be articulate, organised and driven with the ability to run and coordinate multiple sales initiatives at the same time.
What will you be doing?
Reporting directly into the Director of For Media Group, responsible for the Sales and Commercial side of the business.
This role involves utilising telephone and email communication and attending in-person events to develop new and foster existing client relationships with suppliers to the legal profession.
The role will primarily focus on delivering revenue growth across our successful conference and online business. This includes selling sponsorship opportunities at conferences, events and online media including sponsorship of our live webinar programme.
Key areas of accountability:
* Delivering outstanding customer service to new and existing clients
* Generating new business through outbound activity and handling inbound enquiries
* Working to company targets to achieve sponsorship and subscription figures at events and online
* Attending our own events and meeting clients and prospects face to face
* Finding workable solutions to our clients marketing requirements
* Working collaboratively with the product development and marketing teams to ensure customers’ needs are met.
Skills:
* A professional and empathetic nature with outstanding customer service skills
* The role will involve making cold calls, so a confident telephone manner and determination are a must.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Motivated and organised – with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* The successful candidate will be visiting and attending events across the UK, so will need to be confident and enjoy interacting with people face-to-face.
A full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, the successful candidate would be based at our offices in Pride Park in Derby.

Who are we?
For Media Group is an on-demand video platform designed for professionals across a range of sectors. We launched with For Legal (www.forlegal.co.uk) in mid-2021 where we work with a network of speakers and advertisers to produce monthly webinars for the legal profession.
Since 2022, we also host face-to-face conferences and will continue to grow and expand our offering with many events across the UK. For Media Group is run by a small but highly experienced team.
