Do you want to work directly in our core business with the installation of our delivery projects? As part of the Installation department, you will work in a global and dynamic environment leading the installation of our customer projects.
Drive and lead the installation scope
As Deputy Project Installation Manager, you will support the Project Installation Manager with the installation aspects of our projects, focusing on safety, quality, time, and budget alongside the installation project team.
You will support all activities needed to deliver the onshore installation package, from start-up, planning, and preparation to execution and closure. The team ensures that installation operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and NKT HSE procedures. Managing subcontractors effectively is crucial, as the projects involve several subcontractors. Additionally, you will:
* Ensure adherence to execution best practices and NKT policies
* Collaborate on contract and procurement management related to the installation budget
* Work with cable system designers, clients, and engineering teams to develop safe and efficient installation methodologies
* Oversee documentation deliveries to the end client
* Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project
You will be part of our highly skilled international Installation Team. This role is primarily for our project offices in Perth and/or Inverness; other locations in Scotland may also be considered.
Key qualities include:
Effective communication skills, a collaborative and driven attitude, and a high level of technical interest and responsibility are essential. You should be a self-motivated team player who is service-minded and capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, your CV should include:
* BSc degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent higher education (HNC/HND)
* Relevant experience in civil engineering, renewables, or linear projects
* Industry-recognized training such as CITB
* PM training or courses are advantageous
