Working 37.5 hours per week as an experienced Nurse from the NHS or private sector, you'll join the team at Brighton & Hove as a Physical Health Nurse working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday where you will change lives for the better.

What You Will Be Doing
1. Facilitating physical healthcare plans/treatments to patients to maintain their optimum level of physical well-being.
2. Leading the development and review of all care plans for physical health, ensuring that patients' physical health needs have clear interventions that are being met.
3. Carrying out routine and ad-hoc PCR swabs for patients.
4. Facilitating/supporting staff to ensure routine and ad hoc blood tests are carried out as prescribed, with results recorded appropriately and followed up with the medical team where necessary.
5. Ensuring all patients have their ECGs as prescribed by the Consultant, with results communicated to the clinical team and documented on Care notes.
6. Educating staff about Naso-gastric tube feeding, ensuring adherence to prescriptions from dietitians, and updating care plans accordingly.
7. Attending ICR meetings as required and contributing to the development and review of physical healthcare plans.
8. Undertaking audits.
9. Facilitating educational workshops and teaching sessions on physical care and best practice treatments.
To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need
1. A full NMC registration in general nursing (RGN).
2. A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
3. Evidence of a valid NMC registration.
4. Experience in NG feeding and phlebotomy.
5. Experience in training others.
6. A commitment to high-quality care, values, and evidence-based practice.
7. An understanding of eating disorders and mental health.
8. Experience working with young people is desirable.
