This site is located at the north of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and provides over one million sq. ft of space for creatives and digital companies. The technology and innovation campus encompasses a community of over 4,500 people working across academic institutions, corporate and a wide range of start-ups. Information: Position: CCTV Control Room Operator Location: H ackney / Stratford Pay Rate: £15.24 per hour Hours: Average 42 hours per week Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days, nights & weekends Job Requirements: SIA Door Supervisor & CCTV Licence is required. Security experience is required of at least 1 year. CCTV / Control Room / Supervisor experience required of at least 1 year. Excellent customer service and attention to detail skills Proactive, adaptable, & strong IT (Word, Outlook & Excel) and telephony skills Strong incident report and writing skills. Problem solving and prioritisation skills. First Aid qualification, Banksman, Fire Marshall & IOSH is a bonus. Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties. Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting informationrequested. Job Responsibilities: Providing service excellence to all - to staff, students, tenants, and visitors - who attend the campus. Able to lead with a service excellence approach to all in line with the site assignment instructions and standard operating procedures. Monitor CCTV for any suspicious activity and deploy Security Officers (SO) accordingly. Overseeing fire alarm activations (must be confident in fire marshal duties as well as operating fire panels) and assisting with fire evacuations. Manage all electronic documentation and systems, including E-DOB, Genetec, DataStation, Everbridge, SharePoint and Locale. Operate the access control system by printing / activating / deactivating access passes. Ensure incident reports are completed to a high level, including timings, names, titles, details, CCTV stills, BWC stills, statements and witness statements. Responding to emergency situations and incidents and assisting with last minute requests Update and assist with electronic security systems. Oversee the deployment timetable ensuring Officers are deployed to their correct tasking or to areas of concern / respond to suspicious activity. Complete all paperwork accurately and neatly, forwarding to the appropriate personnel as required Ensure incident reports are completed to a high level, including timings, names, titles, details, CCTV stills, BWC stills, statements and witness statements All control room-based documents, folders and registers are maintained in a neat, tidy and up to date manner CCTV Op reports to the Senior CCTV Operator and their Shift Manager. Also acts on instructions received from the head of security, security contracts manager and wider DSM. Assisting the Shift Managers with access control taskings or creating / activating access passes Monitor on CCTV all incidents or security issues (if able to do so) and liaise with the Security Shift Manager. To convey a smart, well-groomed appearance in approved issued uniform displaying a professional and approachable image. To portray a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour always, using open and appropriate body language to all staff, students, visitors, and colleagues.
