Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEMH school in Bolton looking for a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to join their team. About the Role: As a SEMH / SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. Key responsibilities include: Supporting individual pupils or small groups with learning activities Assisting in managing challenging behaviours with empathy and consistency Helping to implement personalised education and behaviour plans Building positive relationships with pupils to support their social and emotional development Collaborating with the teaching team to adapt resources and activities What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with children with SEMH or SEN is essential Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills Ability to stay calm and consistent in a challenging environment Commitment to supporting inclusive education and personalised learning Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is advantageous but not essential All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
