Due to our continuous growth at Notemachine, we’re looking for a team leader who has experience of managing a small team. This role is for someone who is proactive, people person, and can keep the security operation running. As an Operational Shift Manager, you will be the main person handling the daily operations, making sure the team is supported, and customers are happy. We are looking for experience in team management, team leader or management experience – you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
Shifts: 5 out of 7 days
Hours: 9 hours a day
Start Date: Around July/August 2026
What you will be doing
* Manage our Notemachine operational staff, ensuring everyone is working towards the departmental goals and have support
* Oversee daily operations and making sure clear communication and collaboration with the Thurrock cash centre
* Monitor and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Conduct daily huddles and tier meetings with the CIT and management
* Be hands‑on in developing the team’s skills by delivering training, coaching, and performance reviews
* Focus on continuous improvement using tools such as Kaizen and Gamba walks to find ways to do things in a better way
* Ensure compliance and safety standards are met across the team and fleet
What makes you a great fit
* Full clean driving licence
* Ability to inspire a team even when the pressure is on
* Excellent communication skills to be able to speak to anyone from fleet drivers to management
* Ability to be adaptable and provide solutions as well as having strong decision‑making skills
* Experience with operational audits, S5 standards, and fleet compliance
* Experience in managing security sensitive operations or logistics would be a BONUS
