Job Title: Field Service Engineer Location: Ipswich area Salary: up to £37,500pa depending on experience Overview Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to cover the Suffolk area. The Field Service Engineer will be home based in ideally in South Suffolk and will travel to client sites to service and maintain a range of forklifts and materials handling equipment. In-house and industry specific training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Travel to client sites to provide servicing and repairs on various materials handling equipment Liaise daily with a designated service controller who is responsible for arranging and planning the engineer's working day as efficiently as possible. Pick up daily schedule for jobs which are sent electronically via a bespoke management system Complete all relevant documentation on completion of job via the management system Experience & Skills Required A full driving licence is essential Good GSCE grades or above in English and Maths A Mechanical Engineering qualification ( C&G or NVQ level 2 equivalent) Extensive experience as a Field Service Engineer in the materials handling industry Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience preferred Proficient in fault finding and repair. Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop practice. Commitment to continuing personal and professional development. Excellent organisational skills with a standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
