Overview
Are you excited by how people discover brands through AI-powered search, assistants, and generative answers, as well as traditional search engines? Do you thrive in complex, fast-moving environments and enjoy turning customer insight, data, and emerging platforms into measurable commercial growth? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We’re looking for an SEO Manager to lead Aviva’s approach to discoverability across traditional search engines and AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Google’s AI Overviews. This role is critical in ensuring Aviva’s products, expertise, and content are visible, trusted, and surfaced accurately wherever customers search, ask, or explore. You will work closely with our Paid Search and Social Media teams to ensure an integrated search strategy. Your role will involve identifying content gaps, briefing content using SEO and LLM best practices, and scaling our discoverability across AI search platforms. You will support the business and collaborate with various teams to achieve business goals, effectively communicating growth insights to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in SEO, across onsite and technical – both in agency and in‑house settings, with a proven track record of delivering business growth and demonstrating SEO commercial success.
* Proven experience navigating the evolving search landscape, including traditional search, generative AI, AI Overviews, and conversational search.
* Understanding of emerging GEO and AEO approaches, including how AI‑driven search and answer experiences surface content – and ensuring content is structured to perform well in traditional search and AI‑generated responses.
* Experience working with large brands, ideally within Financial Services or regulatory industries, and a data‑driven, customer‑focused approach.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to report on and explain SEO and AI visibility concepts clearly to non‑specialists.
Benefits
* Starting salary circa £60,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
* Bonus opportunity – 10% of annual salary; actual amount depends on performance and Aviva’s generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%.
* 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days.
* Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefits.
* Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
* Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme.
* Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer leave.
* Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
* Volunteer days: use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others.
* Wellbeing support: we take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools.
