Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent face‑to‑face and telephone customer service.
* Assist customers with sales, enquiries, and product advice.
* Process transactions accurately for both account and cash sales.
* Keep shelves replenished and stock well presented.
* Pick and prepare orders for collection or delivery.
* Help unload supplier vehicles and check goods received.
* Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
* Assist with stock control, including regular stock takes.
* Support merchandising and store layout when required.
Qualifications
* A positive attitude and commitment to great customer service.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
* Previous experience in retail, builders’ merchants, or a trade counter environment is an advantage but not essential.
Benefits & Working Hours
Hours of work: An average of 40.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.30am - 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00am until 12.00pm.
