About Hangar Vaults
Hangar Vaults provides secure storage for vehicles and high-value assets within a former RAF base at Upper Heyford. We specialise in discreet, high-trust storage with a premium, “white glove” approach to handling customer assets — from classic cars to collectibles. This is not a traditional self-storage business. We operate a controlled-access, collection and delivery model.
The Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Operations & Logistics Manager to oversee the physical handling, movement, and storage of customer assets. This role is hands‑on and operational, with responsibility for coordinating collections, receiving goods, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards across the site. You will play a key role in ensuring that every item entering or leaving the facility is handled professionally, securely, and with care.
Working Pattern & Compensation
* Initially part-time, with intention to grow as the business scales
* 3–4 days per week (approximately 3–4 hours per day)
* Flexible working pattern – some adaptability required around collection/delivery timings, with the ability to shape your own schedule
* Competitive hourly rate (£17–£20/hour depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Collections
* Coordinate and manage inbound/outbound collections and deliveries
* Liaise with third-party transport providers and drivers
* Oversee loading/unloading of vehicles and goods
* Plan efficient scheduling of collections to minimise downtime
* Undertake driving for collections and deliveries as required (company van provided)
* Trailer operation may be required; experience operating a trailer is beneficial
Inventory & Asset Management
* Photograph and catalogue all incoming items
* Carry out periodic inventory checks
Site Operations & Security
* Open and secure the facility as required
* Conduct routine security checks and ensure compliance with procedures
* Monitor condition of stored items and flag any issues
* Maintain a clean, organised, and professional environment
Vehicle & Asset Handling
* Move and position vehicles safely within the unit
* Ensure appropriate storage conditions are maintained – trickle chargers & covers
* Prepare vehicles/assets for collection or delivery
* Carry out basic visual inspections on arrival and departure
Candidate Profile
* Highly reliable and trustworthy
* Organised and detail-oriented
* Comfortable working independently
* Calm and professional under pressure
* Practical and hands‑on
Must‑Have Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Clean criminal record (background checks may be required)
* Willing to disclose any medical conditions that may impact insurance viability
* Strong communication skills – able to interact clearly and professionally with customers and partners
Desirable Experience
* Experience in logistics, transport coordination, or operations
* Automotive background (dealerships, detailing, transport, or similar)
* Experience handling high-value or specialist assets
* Security‑conscious mindset (military, aviation, or similar backgrounds a plus)
* Forklift licence
* Experience towing trailers (beneficial but not essential)
