Function: Marketing Brand & Communications
Hours: Full Time
We’re recruiting a digital marketing lead
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes digital, with the creative skills to bring ideas to life, both in words and visuals. Whilst your primary focus will be on our growing social, web and email channels, you’ll need to be equally adept at creating impactful and relevant content that sparks conversation, drives engagement and helps grow both our brand and online community.
Day-to-day, you’ll be creating, optimising, distributing and analysing content. That might be ghost-writing a thought-leadership article for LinkedIn, drafting a technical blog, which once uploaded to our website, is repurposed into a tech tip series for Facebook, shooting a quick BTS reel or creating a before and after carousel. Whatever the format, it will be carefully crafted to ensure the content is aligned with our brand identity, and the needs of our audience.
Of course, as a team of two, you won’t be afraid to get stuck in elsewhere. So, a can-do attitude and a willingness to support wider group marketing activities are a must.
What you’ll do:
* Champion the group’s digital marketing strategy to drive engagement across all platforms; social, email and website
* Create engaging and on‑brand multi‑media content for all digital channels i.e posts, blogs, email campaigns, short‑form videos, carousels, infographics
* Own the social media content plan from ideation through to execution; clear content strategy by platform, monthly calendar/plan, create and publish regular on‑brand posts
* Monitor trends and jump on relevant moments to keep our brand fresh and relatable
* Engage with our community by responding to comments, messages and mentions in a timely fashion
* Lead the email marketing strategy; manage email database, build content plan, create regular, targeted campaigns
* Support development of carwood.com, ensuring the content is up‑to‑date and optimised for SEO, GEO and user experience
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop new content ideas and ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality content across all channels and platforms
* Report monthly on key metrics, analyse performance and make actionable recommendations for improvements
* Assist the marketing manager with day‑to‑day activities as needed i.e. merchandise fulfilment, trade promotions, shows and events
What you’ll bring to this role:
* Minimum 1 years’ experience in a digital marketing role or equivalent qualification
* A genuine passion for social media, storytelling and digital culture
* Proven copywriting skills with the ability to write compelling content aligned with the company’s brand voice – solid grammar and spelling are a must
* A good eye for design with an ability to create on‑brand visuals that elevate both our content and identity – Adobe suite design and video editing skills a definite plus
* Strong understanding of major social platforms – LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok – and management tools
* Experience of MailChimp or similar, content management systems (CMS), web analytics and AI tools
* Great people skills – you’ll need to be equally happy ‘talking’ to people online and in‑person, in order to engage internal and external audiences
* Data‑driven mindset with the ability to translate analytics into action
* Excellent organisation and project management skills
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
* A curious mind – always willing to learn and stay abreast of industry trends
What’s in it for you:
* Pension with employer contributions at 5% after 12 months
* On‑the‑job training and career development
