Job Summary
NELFT is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 District Nurse / Caseload Manager to join our integrated community team in Brentwood and Billericay. The service operates 0700-1900 hrs including regular weekends on a rota basis.
Main Duties
* Support peers, team leader and act as an effective team member while working independently.
* Supervise pre‑registration students.
* Collaborate with other health & social professionals, liaise with GPs, statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Lead and manage a community nursing team geographically aligned to GP practices.
* Manage a caseload to provide high standard nursing care to patients and families in the community.
* Provide leadership and work as part of an integrated care team across organisational boundaries.

Induction occurs at our head office in Rainham, Essex. All new starters join on the first Monday of each month and undertake up to two weeks of induction.

Person Specification
Essential
* Evidence of teaching and assessing individuals
* Completion of NMP or willingness to undertake
* Experience of team working that assists the individual to manage an effective workforce
* Inter‑agency and collaborative working
Desirable
* Experience ensuring practice is based on sound evidence and clinical audit
* 3 years post registration experience
* Ability to manage staff conflict and difficult situations
