Willmott Dixon - Cashier Role
Willmott Dixon is currently recruiting for a Cashier on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role is based within our finance team at our head office in Letchworth. It is a part-time position (25 hours per week), requiring availability between 10am and 3pm, five days a week.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage all banking and sales ledger transactions accurately and efficiently, providing first-class customer service to internal stakeholders. The Group Finance Team offers centralized financial support to the main board and divisional units, comprising 65 team members across various functions including Accounting, Payments, Cashiers, and Payroll.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Team
* Providing timely and accurate monthly management reports
* Producing statutory reports, including biannual Group accounts
* Managing tax and compliance matters
* Overseeing treasury operations
* Processing Good Partner and Works Partner payments
* Handling accounts receivable
* Managing payroll functions
The Role: Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with Willmott Dixon Finance Standards
* Uphold internal financial controls and remain vigilant against fraud
* Create and post bank and cash account entries accurately in the finance system
* Raise payments to the supply chain in line with approval rules
* Administer bank accounts and maintain mandates
* Book all sales ledger transactions promptly
* Retain records according to statutory and company policies
* Respond to business queries promptly, maintaining customer-care principles
* Keep the Head of Treasury and Cashier Manager informed of team issues
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential:
* Good attention to detail
* Confident telephone manner
* Accuracy and good communication skills
* Outstanding customer service skills
* Team player
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Courteous and helpful manner
Desirable:
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Experience using a finance system
* AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification
