Primary Teaching Assistant – EYFS & KS1/2 – Huyton, Liverpool – L36

Milk Education is working closely with a group of welcoming and high-achieving primary schools in Huyton (L36), who are looking to appoint enthusiastic, full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants to join their team from September.

These roles involve working across EYFS, KS1, and lower KS2 classrooms, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including learning delays, communication difficulties, and sensory sensitivities. You’ll play a vital role in delivering targeted academic interventions in reading, phonics, and numeracy, while also supporting pupil wellbeing and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support students across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 withiin mainstream classroom environments
2. Deliver structured academic interventions under the guidance of class teachers and SENDCos
3. Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils
4. Assist with the implementation of visual timetables, sensory breaks, and classroom routines
5. Promote positive learning behaviours and support emotional regulation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

6. Previous experience in a primary school setting, especially EYFS or KS1
7. Confidence in supporting pupils with communication, learning or sensory needs
8. A calm, adaptable and nurturing approach
9. Strong communication and teamwoking skills
10. Availability for either full-time or part-time work from September
