Warehouse Operative - Pitstone

Our client is a distributor of an extensive range of products in their specialist industry. They are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to help join their busy warehouse environment, due to their expansion plans they envisage the warehouse operations starting to ramp up and need additional support with the day to day running of the department.
We are working with a fast-growing, energetic and ambitious company who boast a fun and supportive work environment. They are based in new modern offices in Pitstone having moved there within the last year. They have ambitious visions for growth over the next few years and value their employees. Please note, that due to the location of the premises candidates will only be considered if they are able to drive or live within a short commute. This is also a fully office-based role!
Our client is offering an attractive salary of £28k, along with a bonus (based on company performance), modern working offices, progression opportunities, quarterly team events and an early finish on a Friday in order to kick-start your weekend!
Duties include:
Picking/Packing orders.
Quality checking stock, ensuring that are of the highest quality condition.
Processing Customer Returns.
Putting away deliveries of stock on time and in order.
Keeping the warehouse clean and organised.
General Administrative duties may be required.
Communicate clearly with all other departments and colleagues.
Experience dealing with dangerous goods would be advantageous.
Reporting any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
Using scanners to identify the correct stock that needs picking/packing.
Developing processes to streamline and improve operations
Candidate requirements:
Some basic computer skills are needed, but full training will be given.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring special attention paid to batch control and date of expiry requirements.
Previous experience working in a warehouse, dealing with exports and dangerous goods shipping.
Experience with ERP or barcoding systems would be desirable.
The ability to lift heavy items is essential to the role.
Right to live and work full time in the UK.
A reliable individual with good time management skills, able to work to tight deadlines.
Well organised with a great attention to detail.
Strong team player, able to work efficiently as part of a team. Also capable of working independently.
License to operate a forklift would be desirable, however client is willing to train successful candidate up on that.
