We’re looking for an SPV Associate Accountant who’s ready to step into a key role within our Intrum Mortgages Team. This is a brilliant opportunity to play a central part in the financial management of our Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) — from cash management to reporting and financial analysis — and to directly support our expanding portfolio.
You’ll be within commutable distance of our Manchester office while enjoying the flexibility that hybrid working brings.
What you will do:
* Take ownership of cash management for client SPVs, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and cash distributions are processed accurately and on time.
* Collaborate with external partners, including cash managers and corporate service providers, to provide accurate data and ensure smooth processes.
* Partner with the Group Finance team to drive timely and accurate period-end closes, prepare SPV statutory accounts, and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit.
* Work with financial, operational, and data teams to ensure accurate integration of financial information for reporting and cash movement.
* Support primary servicing and accounts payable teams, ensuring invoices are tracked and processed efficiently.
* Contribute to the development of systems, processes, and controls to enhance reporting and overall departmental efficiency.
* Manage multiple reporting demands, prioritising and delivering with accuracy using relevant tools and data sources.
* Devoted to the FCA principle of Consumer Duty, by ensuring we are driving good customer outcomes across all aspects of services that have potential to impact our customers.
What we’re looking for:
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Experience in treasury, SPV finance, or similar accounting roles.
* Demonstrated accounting skills or accounting qualification or progress towards achieving.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to validate and analyse data.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills to meet deadlines consistently.
* Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive with a can-do attitude.
* Quick learner, ready to grow and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
