Join us as a Consultant in General Anaesthesia at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Applications are invited for positions resulting from service expansion and retirement of current consultants. We seek a General Consultant Anaesthetist with interests in various sub-specialties of anaesthesia.
Applicants unable to work full-time will be considered, with job content adjusted accordingly in consultation with colleagues and management. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and offer flexible working arrangements.
The role involves sharing clinical responsibilities within the Department of Anaesthesia, including peri-operative assessment clinics, and providing anaesthesia across adult specialties as per training and experience. The on-call commitment is approximately 1:20, covering emergency work, with additional rotas for paediatric, trauma, intensive care, and obstetric anaesthesia.
All staff are expected to participate in the Trust’s Clinical Governance activities, including audits, guideline development, professional development, and risk management.
