Job Description:
Fidarsi is partnering with an established Wealth Manager to recruit a Training and Competency Manager. This role involves supporting the HR team by managing the training and competency department.
Responsibilities include:
* Implement and oversee an effective Training & Competency Scheme
* Ensure employees have the tools for compliance through proactive training support
* Maintain investment managers' qualifications for investment advice
* Manage CPD and SPS records, liaising with training bodies and managers
* Coordinate in-house training, CPD events, exams, and courses
* Collaborate with HR, Compliance, and Suitability units to maintain regulatory records
* Conduct annual competency assessments for investment managers
* Handle regulatory referencing, onboarding, and rescreening checks
* Assist with annual appraisals for non-investment staff
* Deliver new starter induction programs
* Manage internal and external online training programs
* Provide T&C Management Information for committees
* Train team members to cover absences
* Participate in ad hoc projects as required
* Administer annual appraisals for SMCR and SMFs
* Organize and review mandatory training compliance
* Recruit and interview candidates, collaborating with managers
* Foster a coaching culture
* Design blended learning and leadership programs
* Manage talent and workforce development strategies
* Monitor regulatory changes and update training accordingly
* Maintain HRIS data accuracy
* Organize FCA-compliant training sessions
* Facilitate face-to-face classroom training
Required Skills and Experience:
* Strong inter-departmental relationship management and influence skills
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Knowledge of FCA regulations (TC, SYSC, COBs, APER, FIT)
* Previous experience in a similar training or HR role
