Are you looking to build a career in finance and accounting? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our Transportation business. This role is ideal for someone beginning their studies towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) and eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.
The location is Derby. This is a full-time role and hybrid working is available.
Your purpose
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Help with financial analysis for bids and projects.
* Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
* Provide accurate data to support decision-making.
* Participate in monthly project reviews and prepare reports.
* Collaborate with project managers and finance colleagues across the business.
What you can bring
* Studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or looking to begin your studies.
* A keen interest in finance and a desire to learn and grow.
* Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
* Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
* A team player who enjoys working with others.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or Oracle systems is a bonus.
