About the role
The Assistant Estates Manager (AEM) plays a key supporting role in helping the gbpartnerships Estates Manager (EM) deliver estate management services under the Management Services Agreement (MSA) for seven hub West Scotland (hWS) Project Companies. These services cover twelve diverse facilities across Glasgow and the West of Scotland, including community health centres, mental health units, and educational buildings ranging from 2,000m² to 12,000m². The AEM contributes to ensuring these facilities are safe, compliant, and well-maintained, supporting quality environments for healthcare, education, and social services.
In addition to assisting with day-to-day estate management, the AEM helps monitor the performance of Facilities Management Service Providers (FMSPs) against contractual Service Level Specifications. This includes using KPIs to report on service delivery and supporting communication with stakeholders such as Project Co Boards, public sector authorities, and building occupants. The AEM also aids in property inspections, data analysis, and reporting, and may occasionally support other gbp Estates Managers overseeing around 80 NHS LIFTCo facilities in England. This broad remit ensures consistent standards and operational assurance across a significant portfolio of public sector buildings.
