Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manufacture parts with CNC machines, adhering to quality assurance procedures and industry standards. Responsibilities include planning machining jobs from schedules, drawings, and CAD files; programming parts using Mazatrol; working independently or with team members to determine work holding and tooling requirements; assembling tools and toolholders; designing fixtures; managing inventory; and maintaining equipment and work areas according to company standards. The role requires safe operation of machinery, preventative maintenance, and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Skills/Qualifications
* High school machining program and/or post-secondary technical training with relevant diploma, certificate, or degree.
* Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low volume/high mix environment.
* Experience with Mazak Mazatrol is a plus.
* Ability to independently set up, prove out, and operate CNC machines, edit EIA programs, and manufacture workholding fixtures.
* Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, both digital and analog.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
* Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment.
* Strong math skills and basic computer skills.
* Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
* Adaptability to changing schedules and demands with a positive attitude.
* Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
* Ability to produce accurate parts to deadlines with high-quality finish.
