Role Overview:

The Assistant Operations Manager at Healing Manor Hotel plays a critical role in managing the front-of-house team, supporting staff training and development, and ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations. This position requires a hands-on approach, focusing on wet stock management, par level maintenance, and inventory accuracy. The Assistant Operations Manager works closely with the Operations Manager and Restaurant Manager and supports various operational tasks to maintain high standards and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive Sales & Profitability working with the Directorship, Senior management team, Marketing, sales, and events managers.
* Adhere to and maintain the 2-rosette standard.
* Ensure all staff are adhering to standards of service at all times in all areas of service, as per standards of service
* Working to the additional responsibilities to ensure Host role standards are met.
* Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting where relevant: Stock, staffing, and key-points.
* Oversee Front of House staff training and development.
* Meet and greet customers, and deliver exceptional customer service experience and understanding of systems such as Design by Night, Guestline.
* Onboarding and recruitment of new team members alongside Operations Manager and HR.
* Outside catering management and organisation.
* Monitor customer reviews and meet customer feedback targets with the Hotel Manager and Operations Manager.
* Support on Front of House rota planning.
* Complete all cashing up tasks.
* Stock management, supplier management, and procurement in conjunction with the Operations Manager and owners.
* Log and manage alcohol on the stock system.
* Oversee events, act as Master of Ceremonies for weddings, conferences, corporate events, and alternative revenue streams, including table planning.
* Ensure compliance is adhered to and follow company operating policies and procedures.
* Maintain and ensure all non-kitchen appliances in full clean working order.
* Manage the relevant POS, booking, and review platforms.
* Develop a working relationship with all suppliers.

Job Requirements:

* Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with stock management and inventory control systems.
* Ability to adapt to different working styles and personalities, particularly in supporting individuals with diverse approaches to work.
* Demonstrated discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.
* A proactive mindset with an eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Flexibility to accommodate evening or weekend work as needed.
