Position: Geography Teacher
Location: Walsall and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and responsibilities
Role Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic, well-structured Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable)
Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, engagement, and academic success
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Support students in developing critical thinking, map-reading, and analytical skills
Contribute to departmental planning, school activities, and trips where appropriate
Maintain high expectations of student behaviour, progress, and participation
Role Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Geography and up-to-date curriculum understanding
Proven classroom experience within a secondary school setting
Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills
A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
