Due to an internal move, we have an opening for a Kennel Assistant. You will be working in the wards at Pride Veterinary Centre. This is a full-time contract on a one week on, two weeks off basis, covering 6pm – 8am.
About the role
We love animals of all shapes and sizes, and we require applicants to clearly evidence their previous experience working with animals. Our goal is to ensure the safety and comfort of all animals in our care at the highest level. Having prior animal experience would be a true asset.
You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the ward environment, including cleaning kennels, exercising patients, washing bowls, laundry, stock maintenance, animal handling, basic care (including TPR checks), grooming, feeding, and assisting the veterinary team. This is an active role.
The Kennel Assistant position suits a confident individual who can effectively prioritize and manage their workload, as there may be times during the night when working independently.
