KS1 Teaching Assistant – Brighton

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brighton to recruit a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant.
This vibrant community school caters for children aged 4–11 and is known for its nurturing environment, diverse pupil community, and strong emphasis on inclusion and wellbeing. The Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 (Reception–Year 2)
Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy development
Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND
Help maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with primary-aged children (ideally KS1)
Has a good understanding of phonics and early learning strategies
Is patient, nurturing, and adaptable
Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
Is committed to inclusion and supporting diverse learning needs
Holds a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
