You will report directly to the Engineering Design manager and will have responsibility for the management, coordination and delivery of highway design utilising transformational change activities, robust contract management and effective works and programme delivery.
The local authority has experienced significant success unlocking capital funding for the following key areas:
1. Active Travel, including walking & cycling infrastructure
2. Public Transport
3. Road space Transformation & wider LTP portfolio
4. Highway Maintenance & Area based improvements (ACF)
A background in delivering schemes across these areas would of course be preferred. Particularly with respect to taking the lead in supervising and managing professional staff in a proactive technical work environment.
