CLIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER

A leading technology and services organisation is seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to join its growing commercial team. This is a strategic client-facing role responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key accounts while driving revenue growth and long-term client value.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening relationships with senior stakeholders, identifying opportunities for account expansion, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned to client needs.
The Role
As Client Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies across a portfolio of core clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with clients to understand their strategic goals and operational challenges while identifying opportunities to grow services and deepen partnerships.
You will collaborate with internal teams across sales, operations, and customer success to deliver tailored solutions and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. The role also includes leading contract negotiations, service reviews, and performance monitoring to ensure long-term success across your accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across client organisations.
* Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive growth, retention, and account value.
* Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services within existing accounts.
* Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments, ensuring favourable commercial outcomes.
* Monitor account performance using data and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Deliver regular service review meetings and presentations to senior client stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop pricing models, proposals, and client solutions.
* Manage and resolve high-level client escalations while maintaining strong relationships.
* Ensure internal systems and account data remain accurate and up to date.
* Act as a voice of the customer, helping to drive continuous improvement across services.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience in account management, client relationship management, or strategic account leadership.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account strategies that drive revenue growth and retention.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience achieving revenue and profitability targets.
* Experience managing complex contracts, renewals, and commercial negotiations.
* Ability to interpret and use data and performance metrics to inform decisions and improve account health.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable
* Experience managing accounts within medium-sized organisations or multi-site environments.
* Exposure to working across multiple industries or sectors.
* Additional language skills to support communication with international clients.
