Highways Electrician
Base Location: Exeter
Salary: Up to £39,497 depending on skills and experience, plus Time Incentive Management (TIM) Bonus Scheme.
Working Pattern: Permanent role, full time Monday – Friday, 42 hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate.

Job Responsibilities
* Maintain streetlighting infrastructure including streetlights, signs and subways through lamp changes, visual inspections, and electrical testing.
* Carry out electrical connections to new street lighting infrastructure.
* Diagnose and repair faults.
* Deliver outstanding service to clients and the public.
* Operate a mobile elevated working platform (MEWP).
* Attend the emergency standby rota, on call out of hours Monday to Sunday.
* Work under strict safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications
* Electrical background with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience and competence.
* Able to work both as part of a team and independently when required.
* Comfortable working outdoors all year round and at heights using a MEWP above 12 m.
* Full UK driving licence.
Nice-to-Haves
* IPAF/PASMA working‑at‑height training.
* Knowledge of the 18th Edition legislation.
* Qualifications AM2, City and Guilds 2391.
* Completion of a G39 Electrical Safety training course.
* HGV Class 2 licence.
