What You'll Be Doing as an SEN Teaching Assistant
As An SEN Teaching Assistant In Slough, You Will
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD, MLD, and Down Syndrome.
* Help implement structured routines, visual timetables, and communication strategies like PECS or Makaton.
* Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
* Assist with personal care and sensory needs when necessary.
* Be a key emotional support for children navigating learning and social challenges.
What We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant
We'd Love To Hear From You If You
* Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, MLD, or Down Syndrome.
* Are calm, patient, and consistent in your approach to behaviour and emotional regulation.
* Have a good understanding of inclusive education practices.
* Bonus if you have: Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton training - though not essential!
