NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post are Monday to Friday, consisting of 37 hours per week.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

Interview dates will be held on 25th/26th February.

Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (GADRS) are seeking an enthusiastic, recovery-focused individual to provide administrative support to North West Recovery Communities. The post holder will have lived experience of problematic alcohol and/or drug use, or be able to demonstrate a commitment to supporting people with lived and living experience of alcohol and/or drug use.

It is essential that the post holder is a proficient typist with excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to relate to a wide range of disciplines. The post holder will be required to process referrals and enquiries on a daily basis utilising systems eg: Microsoft Word, Excel, and also support the generic functions and duties administered within the wider ADRS Business Support section as required.

The role includes the requirement to complete a multi range of tasks which includes: telephone answering; reception role; processing referrals; volunteer registration; minute taking; arranging meetings; supporting volunteers and recovery staff in the preparation of presentations; recording and monitoring budgetary information, and processing invoices.
