About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level Economics.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of economic theories, models, and case studies, encouraging students to develop their economic knowledge, understanding, and skills.
* Facilitate student-led research projects, debates, and presentations, encouraging economic inquiry, analysis, and communication skills.
* Assess student progress through written assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Economics curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current economic trends and best practices in economics education.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as economics clubs, investment competitions, and participation in economic conferences, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for students to explore their interests.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Economics or a related field.
* Extensive experience teaching Economics to GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on both microeconomic and macroeconomic principles.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A passion for fostering economic literacy and analytical skills in young people.
* Knowledge of a wide range of economic theories, models, and case studies.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
