About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science to join a thriving secondary academy in Sheffield from September 2025. This is a full-time position, ideal for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire digital fluency, and prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century tech landscape.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A passion for student progress and digital literacy
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
* Eligibility to work in the UK

Skills:

* Coding proficiency in languages
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs
* Strong data analysis for tracking pupil progress
* Curriculum planning and assessment design
* Effective communication with students, staff, and parents
* Collaborative skills for working within a department and cross-curricular teams

Responsibilities:

* Deliver Computer Science lessons to KS3-KS4
* Create engaging schemes of work aligned with national curriculum objectives
* Use data to monitor progress and set ambitious targets
* Contribute to the development and sharing of best teaching practice
* Prepare students for internal and external assessments and qualifications
* Develop pupils' digital skills, critical thinking, and online safety awareness
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers and pastoral staff
* Support the school's safeguarding and inclusion strategies
* Act as a role model for students in professional conduct and commitment
* Contribute to school-wide ICT initiatives and events
