Marshalls Park Academy part of South West Essex Community Education Trust Pettits Lane, Romford, Essex, RM1 4EH Tel: 01708 724134 Assistant Site Keeper Pay Range: Scale 4 Minimum 20 hours per week, term time/full time (£13,945 - £17,016) Maximum 36 hours per week, term time/full time (£26,200 - £30,630) Contract Type: Working pattern to be agreed at interview, working weeks and hours are negotiable. Contract Term: Permanent Position Start Date: As soon as possible Marshalls Park is an expanding Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school based in Romford Essex and we are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Site Keeper to join our busy Site Services Team who are responsible for the general premises, grounds keeping and caretaking duties. We are looking for someone that has initiative, self-motivation and can operate both independently and as part of a team. Experience of working within a school’s site team is not essential but would be beneficial to an application. This role is a minimum of 20 hours worked across the week, the role also requires a degree of flexibility to cover for holidays, absence or at times of increased business need. The successful candidate will: Have a background in any combination of electrical, plumbing, gardening, carpentry and decoration skills. Have caretaking, lettings, facilities management experience, ideally in a school setting or a relatable trade. Be hard-working, resilient and able to respond positively to competing demands Be an adaptable and confident team player Why Marshalls Park Academy? Marshalls Park Academy is a vibrant, over-subscribed, mixed secondary school of 11 - 16 year olds. Situated in Romford, in the London Borough of Havering, we currently have 1200 students on roll. Having rapidly expanded, we now accept 240 spaces into our Year 7 cohort.
