A great opportunity has arisen for a Building Operative within our Capital Estates and & Facilities Broadmoor Hospital, Crowthorne.
To work a 37.5 hour week, Four days working, Two Day off shift pattern working early and late shifts, either early 0800-1630 or late 0930-1800.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Building Operative to become part of a large team providing an excellent service to our patients and staff.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible to ensure that they provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary domestic, portering and maintenance support service. Responsible for ensuring clean, safe and a comfortable environment is provided for patients, staff and visitors at all times.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
1. Good general education: reading, writing and basic numeracy skills.
2. Demonstrable knowledge of cleaning & CoSHH procedures
3. Understanding of basic maintenance tasks (e.g. changing bulbs, batteries etc.).
Desirable criteria
4. First Aid
5. NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in General Cleaning
6. NVQ 2 or equivalent experience in customer service.
Experience
Essential criteria
7. Minimum of 1 year Previous experience working in a domestic/maintenance services role within a Hospital/NHS environment.
Desirable criteria
8. Experience working in a secure environment
9. Experience escorting contractors and staff.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
10. Good knowledge of cleaning procedures
11. Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
12. Understanding of the correct application of manual handling techniques and working at heights.
