What you'll be doing o Design solutions in conjunction with manufacturers and consultants. o Create and verify EC&I documentation - Specifications/Schedules - Reports and Plans - Detailed installation drawings o Review and check vendor document / information for compliance with project specifications. o Support the Engineering Manager and contribute to design / construction reviews. o Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments. Communicate residual design risks to others. o Provide strong technical support and identify innovative and robust solutions. o Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers, managing their input in the design, development, pricing and delivery of technical solutions. o Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the business stream is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards. o Mentoring and training younger engineers within the team. Who we're looking for o Clear focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers and Project teams to deliver cost effective and acceptable design solutions o Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and write clearly and succinctly o Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design. o Excellent IT Skills are desirable and Microsoft Office is essential. o Detailed knowledge of codes of practice and other regulatory material.
