Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This position involves assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounts department.

Duties

* Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
* Utilise accounting software such as Sage to manage financial data.
* Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Maintain organised files and documentation for all financial transactions.
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts and financial information.
* Assist in the implementation of new financial systems or software, including Workday.

Experience

* Previous experience in a similar role within the financial services sector is essential.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential.
* Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Familiarity with accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Payroll experience preferred.
