Job Title: Technical Compliance Lead Location: Avonmouth, Cardiff, or Runcorn (hybrid working options available) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £55,000 per year (plus car allowance and annual bonus) Job Overview A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Compliance Lead to oversee the management and monitoring of environmental systems and procedures at a regional level. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with environmental permits, licenses, and management systems while promoting a high-quality, safety-focused operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing policies and procedures to uphold best practices, actively monitoring environmental performance, and mitigating risks of incidents or non-compliance. Collaboration with Plant Managers and site teams will be essential in maintaining productivity while enforcing rigorous environmental standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor environmental systems, procedures, and compliance at a regional level. Ensure adherence to environmental permits, licenses, and management systems. Implement policies and procedures to maintain a highly compliant, safety-driven work environment. Oversee environmental monitoring and reporting to uphold best practices and prevent non-compliance. Work closely with Plant Managers and site teams to support productivity while prioritizing environmental compliance. Qualifications & Skills Hands-on environmental professional with experience in industrial settings (energy-from-waste facility experience preferred). Relevant experience in a highly regulated, compliance-focused environment. Strong leadership skills to influence teams and foster a compliance-driven culture. Experience in permitted/regulated activities and controlled emissions environments (BS14181 Quality Assurance knowledge preferred). Understanding of the energy-from-waste/power industry, including legislative requirements. Relevant Environmental qualification. Familiarity with ISO14001 management standard. Full UK driving licence
