Auchinairn Medical Practice welcomes applications for the role of Medical Receptionist/Administrator.

We are a busy but forward thinking practice, situated in Bishopbriggs. We have a current patient list size of approximately 7000 patients and provide an extended range of clinical services and care to our local population. The practice team consists of 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant, Practice Manager and an administrative team of 7. We also receive support from NHS Glasgow and the wider multi-disciplinary team by having a Pharmacist working within the team, a Physio and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. As a training practice, we are proud to mentor trainee GPs throughout the year.

We are looking for a hard working, organised, enthusiastic individual to join the team in assisting us in delivering administrative support to the clinical team and patients. At a salary of £12.21 per hour, we are looking to recruit for 33 - 37 hours per week. The working pattern will take place Monday to Friday between 8.00am-6.00pm, with exact shift patterns to be confirmed on successful recruitment into post.

The role would include a variety of reception tasks - answering telephones, making appointments, accurate message taking, liaising with patients face to face as a first point of contact at reception, organising and completing prescription requests, processing and dealing with results and other general administrative duties.

We seek someone with excellent problem solving, communication and customer service skills, proficient IT and computer skills and someone who has the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working within administrative services in health care is advantageous, however we will provide full on-site training for our preferred candidate.
