Production & Materials Controller - Job Details:
1. Pay: £37,000 per annum
2. Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 14:00, 38 hours per week
3. Duration: Permanent
4. Benefits: Stakeholder Pension Plan (Presently the company contributes up to 6%), 20 days paid annual leave plus Bank Holidays. (Service days are provided after 5 years), Welplan Insurance
Job Role: As a Production & Materials Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring workshop operations run efficiently and to schedule. This involves managing production planning, materials control, stock levels, and procurement to meet project deadlines. The Production & Materials Controller will collaborate with planning and workshop teams to align resources and maintain standards, while also overseeing goods handling and inventory processes.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
5. Experience in a similar role involving production and planning control
6. Strong background in workshop production, operations, and scheduling
7. Excellent communication and coordination skills
8. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
9. Procurement and purchasing experience
10. Full Driving Licence
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
11. Experience within steel manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering environments
Additional Information
12. Management of incoming goods and despatch
13. Oversight of stock records, store rooms, and tool control
14. Generation and control of Work Order Cards for production
15. Liaison with Planning Manager and Workshop Superintendent to ensure operational efficiency
