We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils within Key Stage 1. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a well-supported, nurturing environment.
The Role
You will be leading a mixed-ability KS1 class, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. The class group reflects the school’s broad spectrum of SEN provision.
Needs within the Class
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Physical Disabilities (PD)
* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
* Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider multidisciplinary teams
* Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
* Support communication, behaviour and sensory needs
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Proven experience working within SEN settings (essential)
* Experience teaching KS1 or primary-aged pupils
* Strong understanding of ASD and complex learning needs
* Confident managing challenging behaviours positively
* A patient, resilient and proactive approach
