Document Controller, Landscape Construction Salary £33,000 to £35,000 Chelmsford, Essex Permanent Our client is a specialist landscaping contractor and one of the UK leaders in urban green technology. Working together with their clients they integrate ecology and horticulture into the built environment and have an impressive forward order book. They now need to recruit a dedicated Document Controller to take responsibility for the management of the records and documents associated with their landscaping construction projects. The Job: Part of the Landscaping Division and you will work closely with Contract Managers, Project Managers and the QS team to; * Coordinate document control procedures for technical documents, commercial correspondence, policies and protocols. * Log, file, and track site paperwork, reports, purchase orders, datasheets, and accreditations. * Upload and manage project documents (e.g. RAMS, drawings, Friday packs) on client portals. * Assist in the development and preparation of site and quality documents including technical submittals and O&M manuals. * Prepare and print site packs and project reports. * Liaise with internal teams and client document controllers, attending project prestart meetings as needed. * Ensure that the most recent copies of documents and drawings are distributed to the approved circulation list that includes appropriate staff, sub-contractors, and suppliers. * Maintain registers to log the circulation of controlled documents together with issues, actions and comments. * Act as focal point for the team in all document management matters. * Chase Site teams for Friday packs and site paperwork, upload into project folders and client portals. * Collate all ongoing Operations and Maintenance information The Person: You will have previous Document Control Experience within the Construction Industry, be highly organised and have good attention to detail together with strong written and analytical skills; Knowledge of construction practices and standards. Good IT skills, especially the creation and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases Knowledge of construction specific software 4Projects, Aconex and Asite would be useful
