Job Description
3. Manage and process payroll operations accurately and on time
4. Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and employment laws
5. Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions and benefits
6. Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll accounts
7. Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders
8. Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required
9. Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
10. Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and industry standards
11. Support with the training of more junior members of the team
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
12. Experience in payroll processing
13. Knowledge of payroll software and accounting systems
14. A solid understanding of tax regulations and employment laws
15. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
16. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
17. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
18. Experience of managing/training individuals is desirable but not essential
