Role Description
In this full-time hybrid role, based in the West Midlands with some remote work flexibility, the Power Systems Engineer - PSCAD Modelling will perform a range of tasks to support power systems projects. Responsibilities include conducting power system studies and simulations with PSCAD, contributing to the design and assessment of power systems, and supporting system performance optimization. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project objectives aligned with HVDC and FACTS requirements is an integral aspect of the role.
Qualifications
* Comprehensive understanding of Power System Studies and Electric Power systems
* Expertise in Power Systems and Power Generation fundamentals
* Strong background in Electrical Engineering principles applicable to energy systems
* Experience working with complex power systems and advanced simulation tools like PSCAD
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication and collaboration abilities with a focus on client needs
* Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* Experience in HVDC/FACTS systems and renewable energy systems is a strong plus.
