We are seeking a skilled and proactive Façade Designer to join our Head Office team in Sheffield. Clear Line is a specialist façade installation and remediation Principal Contractor with over 25 years of industry experience and is part of the Scandinavian group, Fasadgruppen. We focus on the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of curtain walling and cladding systems.
Scope of the Role:
As a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed façade designs that meet Building Regulations and project-specific requirements. The role involves regular site visits and staying current with industry developments. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, including the ability to produce plans, elevations, section drawings and material take‑offs.
Our project values typically range from £2–20 million. You will work closely with the Head of Design, Principal Designer, Design Manager, fellow Designers, and Project Managers.

Salary:

Key software:
* Autodesk AutoCAD.
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable software:
* Autodesk Inventor
* Autodesk Revit
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce plans, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD.
* Annotate drawings and prepare fabrication details.
* Complete material take‑offs using AutoCAD or Microsoft tools.
* Work collaboratively with the internal design team.
* Attend site as required to support project understanding.
Essential skills and experience:
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in a construction design or draughting role.
* Knowledge of cladding, rainscreen, and EWI render systems.
* Strong understanding of Building Regulations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* BIM experience.
* HNC or higher in construction or engineering.
* Background as an Architectural Technologist.
