With continued investment and expansion plans, our client is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their finance team based in Harrogate. This is an opportunity to join a commercially focused organisation that offers a varied role, exposure across the wider business and genuine opportunities for long term development.The Management Accountant will play an important role in supporting financial reporting and operational performance across the business. The position would suit an ACCA / CIMA part qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership of their remitwithin a fast moving environment.Key responsibilities will include: Production of monthly management accounts and supporting month-end processesPreparation of investor and management reporting packsKPI reporting and analysis of budget versus actual performanceManaging accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliationsResponsibility for payroll administration and liaison with external payroll providersOversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable activitiesPreparation and submission of VAT returnsBank reconciliations and intercompany transactionsReviewing and improving internal financial controls and processesProducing ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support business decisionsThe successful candidate will ideally have: Experience producing monthly management accounts within an industry environmentStrong Excel skills and confidence using finance systemsQBE, AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA / ACCA (part-qualified candidates considered)Professional communication skills and a proactive approachSalary and benefits £38,000 - £42,000 PackageStudy support for professional qualificationsHybrid working arrangement so you can perform at your bestOpportunities for further progression and developmentIPS Finance has 45 years experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
