We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Endoscopy Nurse to join our highly regarded Endoscopy Unit at Practice Plus Group Hospital Ilford. Rated Good by the CQC and JAG accredited, our hospital provides high-quality care in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours a week working on a 7-day week rota. We know how important a work life balance is, so your working rota will be arranged 4 weeks in advance.
What you'll be doing
 * Assess patient care needs and deliver high-quality, individualised care throughout their endoscopy journey.
 * Provide clear explanations and advice to patients undergoing procedures, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
 * Set up and maintain endoscopy rooms and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for safe and effective treatment.
 * Administer and monitor medications in line with hospital policy and professional standards.
 * Support patients in recovery and give appropriate post-procedure advice.
 * Rotate through different roles within the department including procedure room, pre-assessment calls, and recovery.
 * Act as a mentor to junior colleagues and student nurses, fostering a learning and supportive environment.
 * Play an active role in clinical governance, departmental audits, and maintaining compliance with JAG standards.
What we’ll look for in you
As a NMC Registered Nurse with proven experience as an Endoscopy Nurse, you will also be:
 * Knowledgeable about theatre practice, endoscopy standards, and governance requirements.
 * Confident in delivering patient-centred care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
 * Committed to your own professional development and keen to share knowledge with colleagues.
 * Flexible and positive in your approach, with a genuine commitment to providing safe, high-quality care.
 * Experience as a theatre practitioner or additional endoscopy training – desirable.
