JWR is working with one of the UK's most prestigious private estates, looking to recruit a creative and driven Bar Manager to lead the team at a stylish lakeside restaurant and bar, delivering innovative drinks experiences and elevating service to match the setting.

The Role
As Bar Manager, you'll play a hands-on leadership role in both the day-to-day running and long-term development of the bar. You'll be a key figure in shaping the drinks offering, creating exciting seasonal menus, and supporting events and guest experiences. You'll work closely with the kitchen and guest services teams to ensure every visit exceeds expectations.
Responsibilities
Lead bar operations with a focus on efficiency, cleanliness, and 5* service
Collaborate with the FOH and kitchen teams to develop innovative drinks menus
Manage stock, ordering, suppliers, and cost controls
Support events and seasonal promotions, including private functions and VIP occasions
Oversee licensing and compliance documentation
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate quality product deals
Work within budgets while maximising creative impact and profitability
Be a visible and inspiring presence for both guests and staff
Liaise with wider estate teams including Guest Services and Operations to ensure a seamless service experience
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bar Manager or senior bar role in a luxury or premium hospitality setting (ideally 4* or above)
Strong knowledge of drink trends, mixology, and seasonal menu development
Highly organised, with strong leadership and time management skills
Creative, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Excellent multitasking and communication abilities
Enthusiasm for delivering unforgettable guest experiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Opera experience is a bonus
